Dumpsters for Whitehouse and the Lake Tyler Side

Southeast of Tyler on SH-110

From our side of Tyler it's about 6 miles out SH-110 to Whitehouse, so this is one of the quickest drops we make. Same-day is often on the table. The town went from 7,660 people in 2010 to 8,257 in 2020, and the typical house went up in the mid-1990s, which is about when a first kitchen redo starts to look overdue. Lake Tyler sits roughly 2 miles east, and plenty of our calls come from the lake roads.

The Free Landfill Trip vs. a Roll-Off

If you live in Whitehouse, the city lets you haul up to 3 cubic yards a month to Greenwood Farms Landfill for free. Bring your original water bill, a photo ID with the same address, and tarp the load.

That's a great deal for one pickup bed of junk. A kitchen tear-out is more like six to eight heaped pickup beds, the way a hay hauler counts loads. That's when one roll-off beats a month of Saturdays.

Types of Dumpster Rentals We Offer in Whitehouse

Most Whitehouse calls are homeowners, not builders. Here are the five jobs we book most, starting with the one that's growing fastest.

Remodeling Dumpsters

Many Whitehouse homes built in the 1990s are getting their first big kitchen or bath update. Old cabinets, laminate counters, carpet and drywall fill a 20 yard can quickly. Drywall weighs about 467 pounds per cubic yard according to the EPA, so a full can of sheetrock is heavier than it looks.

On a job last spring off FM 346, a family pulled out 1990s oak cabinets, a tile backsplash and two rooms of carpet. It all fit in a 20 yard with room for the old dishwasher. Tonnage check: the tile was the heavy part, so it went in first, flat on the floor of the can.

Lake House Cleanouts

Homes around Lake Tyler collect years of patio furniture, old boat gear, mattresses and boxes. A 30 yard with 6-foot walls and 3 tons included fits a full house. Mattress sets and anything with freon need to be mentioned first.

We've cleared a few lake places for owners living two states away. Nobody needs to stand in the yard for the drop. Snap a picture of the spot, and the driver phones before he turns in.

Brush and Yard Waste Dumpsters

Wooded lots drop pine limbs, needles and the odd whole tree after a storm. Leaves weigh 250 to 500 pounds per cubic yard, but green limbs are heavier. A 30 yard is the usual pick for a lot cleanup.

We think brush gets underestimated more than anything else we haul. Pine limbs spring back up as soon as you let go. Cut them to about the width of the can and lay them all one way.

Concrete and Patio Tear-Outs

Broken concrete weighs about 860 pounds per cubic yard, so it goes in a 15 yard and only part way up the walls. A 15 yard filled to the top with concrete would weigh more than 6 tons. Tell us how many square feet you are breaking up and we will size it.

Honestly, concrete is where people get burned on weight. In our view, a 40 yard full of broken patio is a load no truck should carry. Small can, partial fill. Back on the scale under the limit.

Roofing Dumpsters

Hail and wind in spring send a wave of roof replacements through Smith County. A 20 yard with 2 tons fits a small roof, and bigger roofs get a 30 yard with 3 tons. Shingles are heavy, so we talk tonnage first.

What Does a Dumpster Rental Cost in Whitehouse?

Whitehouse pays the same as Tyler: $325 for a 15 yard, $345 for a 20 yard, $425 for a 30 yard and $545 for a 40 yard. That includes delivery, pickup, a 7-day rental and 2 to 5 tons. Extra weight is $50 to $70 per ton.

Wooded Lots and Long Drives Near Lake Tyler

Lake Tyler was built in 1949 and Lake Tyler East in 1967, and the City of Tyler runs both. Homes along the shore and on the roads into town often have long drives under big trees. The truck needs about 60 feet of straight room and clear space overhead.

Cody learned these lake roads as a kid, back when half of them were still gravel. Some of the old drives have a culvert right at the turn-in that won't hold a loaded truck. We look first, then back in.

If your drive bends, send a photo and we will find the best spot. Boards go under the rails so the steel does not scar the driveway. A roll-off dumpster in Whitehouse usually lands on the driveway apron.

Down US-69 we also deliver dumpsters in Bullard.

Where Whitehouse Debris Ends Up

Full cans from Whitehouse ride to Greenwood Farms Landfill on FM 2767, the same place residents use for their free monthly trip. Gates open at 6:30 on weekday mornings and shut at 4:30 in the afternoon, or at noon on Saturdays. So we like to pull full cans early.

The scale at the landfill sets the weight, and the weight sets any overage. A dry load of cabinets and carpet weighs far less than the same can after a rainy week. Tyler gets about 47 inches of rain a year, so a tarp over an open can between work days can save real money.

Paying for tons is like buying pecans by the pound at a roadside stand. The scale sets the price, not the size of the bag. A dry can is a cheap can.

Smith County also runs a Countywide Cleanup each spring with a free landfill trip for bulky items. It ran from March 30 to May 1 in 2026. For one couch and a mattress, that is the cheaper route. For a full room, a roll-off is.

  • We cleaned out my mother’s house off Broadway in one weekend with a 30 yard. Cody laid boards down before the drop, and the driveway looked the same after pickup as before.

  • I run a two-man roofing crew. They swap my 15 yard the same day I text, and they told me up front my three-layer tear-off would go over on weight. No games on the bill.

    Ray D.

  • Booked a 20 yard dumpster for a kitchen remodel at 8 in the morning and it was in the driveway before lunch. Easy pickup when we called it full.

Whitehouse Questions

Dumpster Rental in Whitehouse FAQs

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Whitehouse?

No permit is needed on a driveway or other private property. If the can must sit on a public street, call Whitehouse City Hall at 903-510-7500 first, since the street is city property. Almost every Whitehouse home has room in the driveway, and we put boards under the rails.

Can I get a same-day dumpster in Whitehouse?

Often, yes. Whitehouse is about 6 miles from Tyler, which makes it one of our shortest runs. Call in the morning and a same-day drop is usually doable. If the trucks are booked, next-day is the backup, and we tell you which one when you call.

Can brush and household junk go in the same dumpster?

Yes, as long as none of it is on the not-allowed list. Mixed loads are fine for one cleanup. For a big brush job, we suggest a separate can, because limbs pack better on their own and leave room for the bulky stuff in the other.

What can't go in a dumpster in Whitehouse?

Tires, paint, chemicals, batteries, fuel tanks and hazardous waste can't go in. Fridges, freezers and AC units need the freon removed first. Greenwood Farms Landfill also turns away freon appliances, batteries and hazardous materials, so take those to a drop-off like the Tyler Recycling Center.
